I would like a welcome pack and a freepost label, how do I get one?

Once you have filled in all the relevant information to sell your unwanted mobile phone with us we will automatically send you the welcome pack containing the freepost label, if you have selected to have one sent. If your order is received before 4pm the pack will be sent out that same day. If your order is received after 4pm however, the pack will be sent out on the next working day. Please make sure that all your contact information i.e. address, contact telephone number, is all correct and up to date to ensure we can send you your welcome pack swiftly.

Do I pay the postage when I send you my mobile phone to sell?

You certainly do not. In your welcome pack, attached to the packaging is a freepost label insert your mobile phone into the jiffy bag and post it straight to us. However, if are sending in your old mobile phone for us to recycle on your behalf I am afraid we cannot supply you with packaging or postal costs, you will also need to include a signed note from yourself that you would like us to recycle your mobile phone/device on your behalf.

We do recommend that for your piece of mind if you are sending in a high value mobile phone/devise(s) that you use an insured postage system, this however will not be paid for by Bamboo Recycle.

What type of postage and packaging do I use when sending in my mobile phone?

In the welcome pack we will send to you (if you select to use it) is a freepost label and packaging. If you choose to send us your unwanted phone using your own chosen packaging (it should be safe and secure to ensure that the phone will not be damaged in transit) and self paid delivery service we ask that preferably you print off our address & your order number and attach this to your packaging or if you are unable to print it off could you please write very clearly all the information needed (this includes; address and order reference number) if it is unclear it may impede your phone’s delivery and/or processing. However if you are sending in your old handset for us to recycle on your behalf I am afraid we do not supply you with the postal costs or packaging, we suggest you ask at your local Royal Mail post office for the correct type of packaging.

I sent my mobile in using the freepost label how do I know when you have received it?

We will send you an email notifying you of receipt of your mobile phone/device. Freepost is handled by Royal Mail it unfortunately can sometimes take up to 5-7 working days for items to arrive. If you have any queries, please call us on 0845 582 0511. Calls are charged at 5p per minute from standard UK landlines, calls from mobile phones may vary (please check with your provider). Standard network charges may also apply. If you are under the age of 18 you must have the bill payers permission.

I sent my mobile phone in using my own chosen delivery service, but I would like it returned to me do you pay the return fees?

Unfortunately we cannot cover any fees occurred using your own chosen delivery service.

Do I have to send the accessories and the charger when I sell you my phone?

If your phone is previously used, all we need is the phone handset, its battery and battery/back cover. If it is brand new, please send it in the original box with all accessories and the charger.

Do I have to send the Sim card or Memory card with my mobile phone?

No, please remove both the Sim card and Memory card before you send your handset to us. We cannot accept any liability in any instance for charges that may occur due to this error.
